Joined by acclaimed violinist Geneva Lewis, cellist Joshua Halpern, and pianist Min Young Kang, 'Radiant Blossom' invites you to experience Mozart's ebullient Piano Trio K.548, Jean Françaix's vibrant and witty Piano Trio(1986),  and Schumann's turbulent and passionate Piano Trio No. 1.  Written in the late period of these composers, the program shows their best in their artistic endeavor.

Recently named as one of the recipients of the 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant, New Zealand-born violinist Geneva Lewis has forged a reputation as a musician of consummate artistry whose performances speak from and to the heart. Hailed by conductor Nic McGegan as “a name to watch,” Geneva’s recent string of accolades include the Grand Prize at the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, First Prize at the 2019 NEC Concerto Competition, as well as being named a Finalist at the 2018 Naumburg Competition and a Performance Today Young Artist in Residence.

Joshua Halpern is an accomplished chamber musician who has collaborated with artists including Itzhak Perlman, Jonathan Biss, Roberto Díaz, Viviane Hagner, and Kim Kashkashian.During the 2019 season he served as guest principal cello of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, including on tours to Germany, Taiwan, and China, and in 2020 he served as guest cellist with the Rolston Quartet.

A prize winner at the J.C. Arriaga Chamber Music Competition, Artur Balsam Duo Competition, pianist Min Young Kang has been recognized with numerous awards and scholarships, including the Talisman Energy Emerging Artist Award, Kraeuter Musical Foundation Award, Prix special du Directeur and Prix de Musique de chambre from Ecoles D’Art Americaines de Fontainebleau.
